“I race the sun home in the morning, and the moon up at night. There’s just today, and then there’s tonight. Anything can happen, then anything does. You get through it.”

Hullo! I know you may not want to make it a big thing, but I think people are going to see this better than if I posted it in the tag or something.
Having been a robin at a specialty bra store, the link you gave for fitting yourself was actually kind of wrong. It’s also really important actually that people do the fitting at home because in the store, you have to leave on your current bra and clothes. That means you’ll basically be measuring the bra you’re wearing, not your boobs. Also, you never want to measure above your breasts for your band size. You also really should not add anything to your band size, like they will at victoria’s secret or probably anywhere in a mall to be honest. Sometimes nordstrom and macy’s will have associates who do it right, but still they’ll be measuring you in whatever you’re wearing and they’ll do it upright which, again, isn’t good.
Anyway! that’s my little rant. Here is a really good video on how to properly fit a bra and what a well fitting vs ill fitting bra looks like. It’s probably not safe for work, but it doesn’t have any nipples or anything :)

This may land you with a size that seems foreign or “too big” or something similar.
I know, it’s scary. I was in a 34C before I started working at my old job and now all I wear is a 32F(DDD in american brands) and its sister sizes(the video talks about this a bit I think, but it’s like, if you go up in the band size, you’ll have to go down in the cup because your bust size doesn’t change just because the band didn’t fit. So down in the band and up in the cup. this only happens when you need to change the band)
Happy Fitting, Robins! <3
Mod Note: OP just wanted to let you all know that if any of you have any questions to ask about bra sizing/fitting, to head on over to her inbox (the-motherfuckingfox) and she’s more than happy to help :)

Seriously, this is so important. Wearing the wrong size bra can affect breast tissue (that armpit fat? probs breast tissue) so you should for real measure yourself for a proper fit.I was wearing a 36B when I am in actuality a 32F, like the OP. Huge difference.

SOOOOO informative! was in a 36A now wearing a 32D! At first when I did my measurements I was like yeah right, but seriously its like 1000 times better, just sayin’. Get yourself in the right size bra.

I hate feeling angry. It makes me sick.

Accomplishment of the Day:

I learned out of neccesity how to re-assemble VHS tapes. Too bad this skill is about fifteen years too late to be really valuable…
